Ed Sketch is a US/UK national, living in London after 25 years living and working in in the US. He is a retired Ford Motor Company executive, who was successively Director Global Labor Strategy, Chief Learning Officer, and Director Organization Effectiveness for Ford world-wide.
He was known for his strategic approach and creativity, personally inventing a path breaking on line-learning system that was highly regarded
Subsequently he was a management consultant working with major US companies and also with the US Military.
His interest in conflict starting with ten years in extreme conflict front line labour relations management jobs with Ford in the UK. He worked in Ford with Dr. William Ury, author of the best-selling conflict classic “Getting to Yes” and co-founder of the Harvard Program on Negotiation and member of President Carter’s Peace Institute to support the globalization of Ford in the 1990s.
This led to his interest in the theory of conflict. As a result, he has more recently written a book based on his experiences in the conflict front line and on the science of conflict, its psychology and neuroscience.
The book “Creative Conflict Wisdom” available through this site, aims to build on the science, to provide a rigorous disciplined process for understanding and handling conflict at the personal, organizational and societal level.
He also has mentored over 40 young professionals in recent years and teaches his conflict approach to help them navigate personal issues including relationship issues.
